Vine was a short-form video app built around looping six-second clips, which forced creators to cram jokes, chaos, and cursed brilliance into tiny perfect bursts.

It reshaped internet humor, creator culture, and the whole language of short-form video. Vine proved that absurd amounts of creativity could come out of strict limits and that six seconds was somehow enough to alter culture.

The app died, but the rapid-fire humor and loop-brain energy it encouraged absolutely did not.

Vine still matters because it proved short-form video was not a gimmick. It was the future with terrible attention span.
